Free Meditation Class!

Free Meditation Class!

Every Saturday @ 11am for 20 minutes. Starting October 26, 2013.

Shalan will guide you to a deeper, more quiet place within yourself.

Here's a 'no excuses' way to feel better!

What proportion of my day am I in vibrational harmony with my desires?

The things that we would be asking ourselves is, "What proportion of my day am I in vibrational harmony with my desires, which means, how much of my day am I happy, glad, eager, fulfilled, satisfied, complimentary? And what percentage of my day am I ornery, irritated, frustrated, or blaming?" And you don't have to do 100%, you don't have to do 90%, you don't have to do 80%. If you could even get around 55% feeling better, than not feeling so good — you'd have significant movement in what begins to happen in your experience. --- Abraham

What layer do you live in?

One moment you're singing to the song inside your head washing the dishes, the next moment, your daughter walks in the room really upset and is blaming you for tripping over the box you had by the door ready to go to Goodwill.

We help people reclaim their lives when they are ready to make themselves and their well-being a priority.

Make friends with your body

Make friends with your body again. It's the best friend you could ever ask for if you treat it with respect and love. - Shalan Hill

An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship...

“An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship
unless it gets inside the ship.
Similarly, the negativity of the world
can’t put you down unless
you allow it to get inside you.”
– Goi Nasu

My Happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook.

Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for the way you feel -- and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good. --- Abraham

Chakra Meditation

I made this video for you to learn about and experience your Chakra System. Your Chakras are energy centers in your body that give and receive information. They are how we "read" each others energy without words; how we can know how others are feeling even without speaking. Having awareness of them helps you understand yourself and others and is just another tool to help you feel better. Lie down and give yourself a quiet, uninterrupted space.  This is a great thing to do before bedtime or to help find balance anytime throughout your day.

Shalan Hill, Co-owner, Yoga & Bodywork Expert

Shalan Hill, co-owner of The Posture Project, is a Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist (CMT & LMT) and a Certified Yoga Teacher.  She is privileged to inspire greatness in others as a Manduka Ambassador and was featured in the Manduka 2012 Summer Catalog.

Shalan began her study of yoga in 1998 and has been teaching since 2001 in the Woodstock area.  Her initial years of experience with Yoga trained her in the Hatha Yoga (traditional) style with focus on Kundalini Yoga which involves Pranayama (breathing techniques to promote energy movement and balance).  She completed her credentials for her 200 hour Yoga Alliance training gaining more knowledge of the Iyengar tradition and started her own Ashtanga practice, as well.  She continues her yoga training weekly to gain more insight and options for her students.  An experienced teacher, Shalan has been focused mainly on teaching yoga to beginners. Shalan intuitively promotes a gentle style of yoga that listens to the needs of the energy of the group while getting specific with the actions of your body, breath, and focus in each pose.  Her mission is to help you find what your body CAN do as a starting place and to utilize your breath, your inner vision, and to stretch and strengthen body, mind, and spirit.

Shalan graduated from The Academy of Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) massage school in Norcross, GA in 2000 with certificates in Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Therapy, and Swedish Massage. She has worked with chiropractors and has experience with massage in spa and yoga settings.  She specializes in working with the subtle energies of the body through CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, and Energy Balancing.  Shalan also excels in Myofascial Release, Postural Balancing, and pain relief.  Shalan saw the value of combining bodywork and yoga to help people achieve and maintain greater balance and health in their life and was inspired to open The Posture Project.

You are blessed and Life is Good!

That's what I keep being reminded of everyday.  From something that a loved one says, sometimes a subtle message from a stranger, or just the sunlight warming my face.  The reminders are all around us.  If you need one, just look for them.
